This year, I reviewed three films from Lincoln Center/MOMA's annual showcase New Directors/New Films as part of Slant Magazine's coverage of the festival. Claudia Llosa's Golden Bear winner The Milk of Sorrow is the clear class of the lot, but James D. Stern and Adam del Deo's crowd-pleasing doc Every Little Step, about the casting process of a Broadway revival of A Chorus Line is very much worth seeing as well.
